But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such there is no law.
Galations 5:22 & 23
What is Love?...
Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. (John 15:13)
But God shows his love for us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)
By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. (1 John 3:16)
He who does not love does not know God; for God is love. (1 John 4:8)
Love is a word I so often use in such a common way. May I think before I use it to describe how I feel about my favorite food, book, movie, game, or in any other respect ill-deserving of its meaning...a meaning defined and demonstrated so thoroughly and extravagantly by God Himself.
