Me: "Aine, why are you unbuttoning your dress?" (One half hour after getting dressed for the day.)

Aine: "So you can fix it, Momma!

And herein lies the reason I am NEVER bored and NEVER suffer from a lack of tasks to attend to!

Fine motor skills--check!

"Hey...there's no SEEDS in chocolate!"

So says my always-entertaining daughter after carefully inspecting her chocolate kiss for...you guessed it! SEEDS!

She inspects all her food for those dreaded SEEDS these days and is happy to report that chocolate is safe.

Just another reason to enjoy chocolate.

Just another reason I'm always laughing.

Recently, Liam spotted a photo of me from about a decade ago. It is usually displayed on his father's computer table, but Liam has never before commented on it. As he looked at it, thoughtfully, he asked, "Mommy, is that my Auntie Erinn?"

I replied, "No, that's me when I was a little younger."

At this he looked confused for a moment and again studied the photo, while thinking. Finally, he smiled and said, "Oh, yes. This is you when you were my age."

Ten years have made a bigger difference than I knew, I guess.
